Terms and Conditions

Additional Information

Whilst I take every precaution possible to ensure all the pets in my care are healthy and safe, the client must recognise that incidents may arise under any circumstance and that I take no responsibility regarding these incidents.

All pets in my care must be vaccinated and evidence of this seen by S.A.S. Dogs must be up to date with all worm and flea treatment and if walking, in general good health.

All dogs will remain on lead unless I am confident that the dog has a good recall and a prior agreement has been signed.

S.A.S reserve the right to use my personal judgement to cut short a walk which would be in the best interests of the safety of your dog (e.g. extreme weather conditions, injury, age of dog etc.)

S.A.S reserve the right to decline/terminate a booking in any circumstances.

S.A.S will not be liable if any pet escapes due to a faulty collar, lead or harness or gardens/fences in disrepair on the owner's property.

Very wet dogs will be towel dried, however long/thick coated dogs may still be damp. It is the client’s responsibility to provide the appropriate dog coat if they wish to avoid damp dogs.

Emergency Care

In the case of an emergency a Veterinary Surgeon may be contacted, your pet examined, treated  and/or surgery performed if required. S.A.S will always endeavour to contact you under these circumstances but reserve the right to make medical decisions in agreement with the vet if you are unavailable. Although very unlikely this includes allowing the Vet to perform euthanasia if they recommend this on humane grounds.

S.A.S will administer any treatments prescribed by the Veterinary Surgeon and are in no way responsible for any adverse reactions your pet may have. S.A.S are not liable for any vet bills which arise for any reason whilst your pet is in our care and will require full reimbursement for these costs.

S.A.S hold cover for public liability, professional indemnity, loss/theft of keys, animal care custody & control of animals, custodial responsibility with Pet Plan Policy no. IS50318101. It is however the client's responsibility to ensure provision of a secure collar & lead, and maintain adequate property boundaries/fences (for home visits).

Holidays/Illness Cover:

S.A.S agree to give notice in advance of any holidays or particular dates where our services are not available. By mutual agreement S.A.S will recommend the services of an alternative dog walker, or you may wish to organise your own arrangements with a friend/neighbour etc.

If cover is not available at short notice e.g. in the case of illness, S.A.S agree to provide reimbursement or services in lieu.
